DUE TO THE ONGOING GUIDELINES ISSUED BY HM GOVERNMENT & THE WALES GOVERNMENT RELATING TO THE CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 PANDEMIC THE COUNCIL ARE UNSURE WHEN THEY WILL BE HOLDING THEIR NEXT MEETING. THEREFORE, OFFICIAL (DRAFT) MINUTES ON UPDATES ON ITEMS DISCUSSED IN THE FEBRUARY MEETING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.

Matters Arising & Agenda Items (Minute 078/19):
078/19(f) Baby Changing Facilities in the Welfare Hall – These have been purchased & fitted in the Ladies Toilet of the Hall. NOTE: They could not be fitted in the disabled toilet as the walls of that toilet are plaster board and they MUST be fitted to a stone/brick wall for Health & Safety reasons;THIS ITEM IS NOW CLOSED;
078/19(h) The Issue of Keys to the Welfare Hall to Blaengwrach School to Use the Hall as a “Place of Refuge” – The relevant keys were delivered to the school on the 3rd March 2020;THIS ITEM IS NOW CLOSED;
078/19 (j) The Sign at the Local KFC – The sign has been amended to read “KFC, Blaengwrach”. THIS ITEM IS NOW CLOSED;
078/19 (l) (agenda item 5b) VE Day 75th Anniversary Celebrations – The Council were looking to hold a small celebration at the Welfare Hall on Friday 8th May 2020 but due to the pandemic this celebration has now been cancelled; THIS ITEM IS NOW CLOSED;
078/19 (n) (agenda item 5d) Renewal of Annual Membership of One Voice Wales – It was agreed to renew the membership at a cost of £166.00; THIS ITEM IS NOW CLOSED.
080/19 Crime & Disorder:
NOTE: All PACT meetings have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. All crime figures for the area will be reported at the next meeting (no date CAN be set at this time). However, anyone can access the crime figures by visiting the South Wales Police website.

084/19 Set Date, Time, Venue & Proposed Agenda Items for the Next Meeting:
At the February meeting it was decided that the next meeting would take place at 6.30pm on Thursday 19th March 2020 in St. Mary`s Church Hall, Blaengwrach and that there would be a short presentation by Liz Bickerton of Severn Wye Energy Ltd given at this meeting. HOWEVER, because of the Pandemic Guidelines this meeting & the April meeting have since been cancelled. An update on dates of future meetings will be published when available.
